3. Don’t Start a Business If You Don’t Have Mental Stamina  

It’s best to ignore the glamor of entrepreneurship for now. One of, if not the most important, trait of successful entrepreneurs is being able to withstand pain for a long time. How do you feel about having to endure: • Sleepless nights? • Financial problems? • Failing again and again? The greatest challenges are often the breaking point for most, but not for the winners. Always keep this in mind when embarking on an entrepreneurial journey: it is a war of the mind, and you need to have incredible fortitude to get to the finish line.  

4. Don’t Start a Business If You Want More Free Time  

The idea of quitting your nine-to-five and starting your own business seems appealing. Think again, because as a business owner, you: • Work longer hours • Get paid last • Work is now omnipresent. For the first 5 to 10 years, you may attain freedom, but the entrepreneurial journey becomes a grind without glamour. If you are not passionate about your mission from deep within, it will be almost impossible to power through the relentless wall of tough times.  

5. Don’t Start a Business If You Don’t Know How to Sell  

Looking for customers? Investors? Or want to watch your business grow? Then you better learn how to sell, because without it your venture will fail. Businesses don’t just need sales, they absolutely depend on it.

Regardless of the area you work in, the way you communicate and convert connections into opportunities will dictate the path you take moving forward.
